Spent the day at home with a tummy ache. I know it is lazy of me, but I have a personal rule that you ought not go to work within 24-hours of vomiting, so I kept myself home from work today.
Of course, since this tummy ache was almost certainly brought on from over-indulgence in delicious baked goods ... I feel kind of like a jerk.
A really smelly, achey jerk. Ugggh.

True confessions
I hate to admit it, but the new Starbucks instant coffee is really pretty darn good. But then I must also confess that I have a sick, sick love for instant coffee. It's hard to believe that a person of such a serious love for java can like instant, but it's true.
Actually, I have a soft spot for many different kinds of coffee. Instant is fun. Weak coffee makes me think of my mom. Diner coffee has its own beauty. And then there's thick hot mud from the French press. Wow.
The best coffee I've been drinking lately comes from the little cafe down the street from Fiona's school. They only serve Stumptown, and there's something special about the way they brew it, because it's full-flavored and perfectly bodied every single time. I don't know what it is. But I do know that I would rather have their house coffee than an espresso drink just about anywhere else.
Still. That new Starbucks Via. Pretty good stuff.
